Napo Province, Antisana

Antisana is a volcano that lives in cloud. It is one of the more difficult volcanoes to photograph because it is also surrounded by other high peaks. From Quito and other tourist destinations, we often only notice its very bright white summit. This photo was actually taken from a moving car while driving back from the Oriente towards Papallacta. One of the tricks to taking photos while moving is to make sure that your shutter speed is fast enough to avoid blur and to take several photos in a row in order to chose the best shot of a series.
